What makes a “social self care” app different?

Have you ever noticed it feels easier to support others than “work” on yourself? In Blue Fever, we’ve made it easy to do both. We call it social self care.

Blue Fever, unlike existing social media platforms, was designed from day one to be safe and inclusive for our diverse, growth-minded community.

As a team who believes everyone deserves access to day-to-day mental health support, we’ve filled Blue Fever with welcoming spaces to open-up about whatever's on your mind.

How does an anonymous community remain toxic-free?

Blue Fever’s anti-toxicity tech is vital in mitigating bad-actor behavior. In addition, our Community Guidelines were co-created with, and have since been upheld by members of the community.

What are Blue Fever’s Community Guidelines?

We are proud of our diverse community and appreciate your help in ensuring everyone at Blue Fever App feels safe and welcome, regardless of culture, age or beliefs. We encourage you to freely express and be any version of yourself—without hurting others or putting yourself in danger.

To maintain a supportive space for all…

  • Original Content: Post only your own words, never copying text from elsewhere on the internet. Follow the law.

  • Giving Advice: Avoid telling others how they should take action to solve their problems. We never know the full extent of someone’s situation from their posts, nor how someone might interpret your guidance.

  • Trigger Warning (TW): Help us create a truly supportive and safe environment by not glorifying self-injury related to eating disorders, cutting or any other type of self-injury. Please visit our Crisis Resources section if you or someone you know is in need of help.

  • Flagging: As a user, if you spot a post that is in violation of our rules or feels toxic or triggering, please flag the post by clicking the ‘flag’ icon, select Triggering or Toxic at your discretion, and then please detail the reason you’ve flagged the post so Team BF can learn from your experience! All reports are anonymous.

  • Personal Contact Info: For safety reasons, we have a zero-tolerance policy for publicly sharing any personal information, including, but not limited to first + last names, phone number, other apps’ usernames, emails, mailing address, location-identifying information (e.g. school name). Violators of this policy may be banned from the app at the discretion of Blue Fever.

  • Bad Actors: Blue Fever has a zero-tolerance policy for trolling, hate, cyberbullying, violence, spamming and threats. Team BF will, at our discretion, immediately set posts to “Private View Only” or remove users who fail to comply with our community guidelines, without notice.

  • Suspicious Behavior: We truly appreciate your support in keeping our community safe! Please contact us immediately at the first sign of suspicious activity so we may investigate further—NEVER attempt to deal with a problematic user yourself. Contact Us by email or DM us on Instagram @bluefever.

We’d love to hear from you! If you have any feedback on our Community Guidelines, Contact Blue Fever
